ETBU Receives J. E. & L. E. Mabee Foundation Challenge Grant

The J.E. and L. E. Mabee Foundation recently awarded East Texas Baptist University a challenge grant of $850,000 toward the University's Restoring Feagin Hall initiative, launched last fall. To receive the challenge grant funds from the Mabee Foundation, the University must raise a total of $1,280,000 for the project by January 2027.

ETBU makes the final push for Mabee Foundation grant

In January of 2020, the East Texas Baptist University Board of Trustees unanimously voted to launch a fundraising campaign to construct a 23,000 square feet facility, the Great Commission Center, which will be the future home to the Fred Hale School of Business, the Great Commission Program, and the Office of Career Development. In the summer of 2020, ETBU received a $1,500,000 challenge grant from the J. E. and L. E. Mabee Foundation, requiring the University to raise $6,000,000 by July 1, 2021, in order to receive the $1,500,000 challenge grant funds.

ETBU receives $1.5 million grant from Mabee Foundation

As East Texas Baptist University seeks to expand academic capabilities, enhance program offerings, and further spread the Gospel across East Texas and throughout the world, the J.E. and L. E. Mabee Foundation recently awarded ETBU a challenge grant in the amount of $1,500,000 towards the construction of the Great Commission Center (GCC), the future home for ETBU's Fred Hale School of Business.
