The East Texas Baptist University Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams traveled to Paris, France from Thursday, May 30 through Sunday, June 9 as a part of the Tiger Athletic Mission Experience (TAME) program. Led by Great Commission Center and Global Education Director Lisa Seeley, Head Coach Jeff Bramlett, and Assistant Coach Drew Lambert, the group of 15 consisting of athletes and staff partnered with the International Sports Federation (ISF) and Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in evangelism and ministry surrounding the French Open at Roland Garros.

East Texas Baptist University held a series of events as a part of the annual ETBU Global Missions Week on Monday, March 25 through Thursday, March 28. To highlight both international and local missions, the week consisted of Mission Marketplace, a Mission Interest Lunch, Go Now Missions Run, and special guests for chapel services.

The East Texas Baptist University Hockey Team traveled to Slovakia from Wednesday, January 2 through Saturday, January 12 as a part of the Tiger Athletic Mission Experience (TAME) program. Led by Head Coach Alain Savage, ETBU Vice President for Athletics Ryan Erwin, and Director of the Great Commission Center and Global Education Lisa Seeley, the group of 22 partnered with International Sports Federation (ISF) to minister to the people of Slovakia.

East Texas Baptist University students spent the summer serving in a variety of areas locally and internationally. From youth internships at local churches and Christian camps to overseas opportunities, students actively stepped out in faith to partner with ETBU mission efforts.  

MARSHALL, Texas (4/21/16) – A team of nine students from East Texas Baptist University spent their spring break in Belize ministering in partnership with Hope Springs Water. The Athens, Texas based ministry has a mission to provide safe water, sanitation, and public health education to developing countries. 

“The purpose of the trip was to fix wells in villages so that people who live there could have clean water,” said sophomore Nycole Renfrow of Nederland.
