Avery Abshire and Abraham Contreras honored by ETBU with Riley Servant Leadership Awards

East Texas Baptist University celebrated the dedication and service of two students during a special chapel service on October 4. Seniors Avery Abshire and Abraham Contreras were awarded the Bob and Gayle Riley Servant Leadership Award. This honor, presented by ETBU President Emeritus Bob Riley and his wife, Gayle, includes a replica of the renowned "Divine Servant" statue by Max Greiner, which was given to ETBU by Dr. and Mrs. Riley in 2009 and is displayed at ETBU's Rogers Spiritual Life Center.

ETBU freshmen host community fall festivals at Marshall ISD

East Texas Baptist University’s Learning and Leading classes hosted Fall Festivals for all five of Marshall ISD’s elementary schools, including David Crockett Elementary, Sam Houston Elementary, William B. Travis Elementary, Price T. Young Elementary, and the Marshall Early Childhood Center on Monday, October 2, to serve nearly 1,000 elementary students and their families.

ETBU Student Haylie Stum Receives CIC/UPS Scholarship

East Texas Baptist University announces that Haylie Stum, an undergraduate student from Cypress, Texas, majoring in Sports Communications, has been chosen to receive the CIC/UPS Scholarship, generously granted by the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas (ICUT) in collaboration with their national partner, the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) in Washington, D.C.
