ETBU Neighborhood Renewal Initiative receives donations from Texas Baptist Missions Foundation and Richard and Christina Anderson

East Texas Baptist University was provided with a grant of $20,000 from the Texas Baptists Missions Foundation, the largest one-time donation given by the organization to ETBU for its Neighborhood Renewal Initiative, on Wednesday, January 31. Vice President for Texas Baptist Missions Foundation and Vice President for the Baptist World Alliance Jerry Carlisle and President for Texas Baptist Missions Foundation Bill Arnold presented the contribution during the University's chapel service. Teaching on Hebrews 12:1-3, Dr. Carlisle encouraged students to become who they were created to be.

The ETBU Women’s Summit empowers students

East Texas Baptist University hosted Amena Brown Owen as the keynote speaker at the second annual Women's Summit on Monday, January 29. The event consisted of a chapel service, women's leadership luncheon, and special evening session. Amena shared her journey of healing and how she has allowed the music of God's love to replace the broken records in her life.

ETBU invites prospective students to join the Tiger Family

East Texas Baptist University hosted Preview Day on Monday, January 22. The event is specifically designed for prospective and transfer students and their families. In recognition that a positive first year is integral for educational performance, engagement in the community, and progression toward graduation, ETBU provides various opportunities to learn about its academic programs, residence life, financial aid, and accommodations that are in place for all students to succeed.

ETBU begins the year with a flurry of activity

East Texas Baptist University started the Spring 2018 semester with Welcome Week for new and returning students on Thursday, January 11 through Monday, January 15. From group sessions to a t-shirt exchange, students were encouraged to build relationships and equipped with the resources necessary to be successful in and beyond the classroom.
