ETBU Speech-Language Pathology Program Hosts “Camp Chit Chat” to Support Children’s Communication Growth

East Texas Baptist University’s Department of Speech-Language Pathology program recently hosted “Camp Chit Chat,” a summer speech and language day camp designed to support communication and literacy development for children who have completed kindergarten through third grade.

Held May 26–29 at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church Marshall, the camp offered morning and afternoon sessions in an engaging, language-rich environment focused on speech clarity, vocabulary, literacy, and communication confidence through interactive activities.

ETBU Biology and Spanish Students Serve Together on Medical Mission Trip to Guatemala

East Texas Baptist University biology pre-med students joined students from Spanish 2311 and 3309 on a recent medical mission trip to Guatemala focused on serving local communities through healthcare, education, and ministry. Led by Associate Dean and Professor of Biology Dr. Roy Darville, Assistant Professor of Spanish Blanca Jenkins, Assistant Professor of Biology Jennifer Hudnall, and Assistant Professor of Nursing Dr. Antay Waters, the team spent the week ministering to patients and families in San Raymundo through hands-on medical care and community outreach.

ETBU Students Explore America’s Christian Heritage and Civic Foundations During Washington, D.C. Study & Serve Trip

Students from East Texas Baptist University traveled to the nation’s capital as part of the University’s Global Study & Serve program. Led by Professor of Political Science Dr. Israel Nandamudi, Director of Community Engagement Mrs. Kendall Powell, and Dean of Spiritual Life Dr. David Griffin, the team traveled to Washington, D.C. as part of ETBU’s year-long recognition of America’s 250th Anniversary.

East Texas Baptist University’s Teague School of Nursing Receives Continued CCNE Reaccreditation with No Compliance Concerns

East Texas Baptist University proudly announces the successful reaccreditation of its Teague School of Nursing undergraduate program by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Following a comprehensive evaluation process, the program was found to be in compliance with all key elements and received no compliance concerns related to any of the standards of accreditation.
