Following summer experiences around the globe, new and returning East Texas Baptist University students arrived on campus for the August Mini-Term, Move-In Day, Tiger Camp, and the start of the 2025-2026 academic year on August 18.

Each year, ETBU faculty, staff, and students come together to welcome incoming freshmen and transfer students by lending a helping hand on Move-In Day. This year was no different, as they gathered at each residence hall, greeted new students and their families, and helped lift moving boxes, big and small, up to each student's room.

The 2023-2024 academic year is off to an exciting start at East Texas Baptist University. After a summer spent working, traveling, and serving, students arrived to the Hill at ETBU for August Mini-Term classes, Move-In Day, Tiger Camp, and the official start of the Fall 2023 semester on August 14.

East Texas Baptist University welcomed new students and their families to campus for Tiger Camp, ETBU’s Welcome Week, on Wednesday, August 14 and returning students on Saturday, August 17. Faculty, staff, and Tiger athletic teams assembled outside residence halls across campus in the early morning to help new students move in. Each volunteer wore a shirt that said, “Fan the Flame,” emphasizing ETBU’s commitment to mentorship and spiritual growth.
