East Texas Baptist University hosted almost 300 guests on campus for Tiger Day on Saturday, November 9. Prospective students and their families visited campus to discover what it means to be an ETBU Tiger through a departmental fair and campus expo, student panel, campus tour, Tiger Tailgate, and Tiger Football game.

East Texas Baptist University presented Bob and Gayle Riley with a Founders Society Award during halftime of the Tiger Football game on Saturday, November 9 in recognition of their generosity and faithful support of the University and its mission. Membership in the ETBU Founders Society is reserved for those who have contributed at least $100,000 to the University throughout their lifetime.

East Texas Baptist University unveiled the “My Brother’s Keeper” bronze statue before the Tiger Football game on Saturday, November 9 at Ornelas Stadium. The statue was commissioned in memory of the lives of two freshmen Tiger Football players, Darrian "D.J." McClintock, Jr., and Norvontre "Tre" Harrison, who lost their lives during a tragic accident in April of 2016.

East Texas Baptist University welcomed ETBC and ETBU retirees, Legacy of 1912 Society Members, and Endowed Scholarship Donors to campus Monday, November 4 for the annual Legacy of 1912 Society Luncheon. During the luncheon, the University celebrated those who choose to give, so ETBU students can continue to pursue the God-given calling on their lives.

East Texas Baptist University honored 103 graduating seniors with the presentation of their official ETBU Class Ring. The Ring Blessing was held Monday, November 4 for the December graduates of 2019. Inspired by Deuteronomy 6, the Class Ring allows ETBU Alumni to carry and display the love of Christ.
