ETBU & KSLA Holiday Food Drive Collects A Ton of Food

MARSHALL, Texas (12/04/15) - East Texas Baptist University joined KSLA-TV for its Annual Holiday Food Drive held on Wednesday, Dec. 2.  The Marshall community donated over one ton of canned goods and non-perishable food items during the drive. The donated food is now on the shelves of the United Churches of Marshall Food Pantry at Mission Marshall to be distributed to Harrison County families in need.

ETBU Hires Crawford as New Men's Soccer Coach

SOCCER (M): MARSHALL, Texas (11/30/15) - Bringing a resume of servant leadership and development of men of character, the East Texas Baptist University athletic department has hired Chris Crawford as their new head men's soccer coach. Crawford comes to ETBU after serving as the head coach at Dallas Baptist University for three years re-starting the men's soccer program in 2012.

ETBU Baseball Serves in the Marshall Community

MARSHALL, Texas (11/24/15) - The game of baseball has many ways in which to rate how good a player or a team is performing. Statistical categories like won-loss records, batting averages, fielding averages, earned run average and slugging percentages provides a way to measure success. The East Texas Baptist University Tiger baseball team is presently accumulating a stat, volunteer service hours, that will not show in a box score but is very impressive.

Lady Tigers Win Again, Remain Undefeated

BASKETBALL (W): FORT WORTH, Texas (11/23/15) - A strong defensive effort in the fourth quarter by the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team led to a 63-56 win over Texas Wesleyan University. ETBU has now won four straight games matching the best start in the last 10 years at 4-0.

Lady Tigers 3-0 For the First Time Since 2005-06

BASKETBALL (W): MARSHALL, Texas (11/23/15) - It took a 10-3 run in the final three minutes of the game by the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team to hold off Texas College (0-2), 57-53, moving to 3-0 on the season for the first time since 2005-06. Malaisia Chisholm led the team with a career-high 19 points and scored five of the team's final 10 points of the game.
