WEEKEND TIGER ATHLETICS: Big 4th Quarter Ends 8-Year Drought vs. LC

FOOTBALL: MARSHALL, Texas (9/26/15) - Fourth Quarter dominance by the East Texas Baptist University offense combined with the strong defensive effort canned Louisiana College's thought of extending their winning streak over the Tigers (0-3/0-1), 44-34. ETBU scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win in the American Southwest Conference opener.

ETBU Coach Natalie Bach-Prather Competes For Team USA

AMERICAN SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE: CHICAGO (9/25/15) - East Texas Baptist University men's and women's cross country coach Natalie Bach-Prather was one of 150 athletes to represent the United States in Chicago, Illinois in the Age-Group Olympic-Distance World Championship race. The event was part of the 2015 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final and World Championships from September 15-19, hosted by the City of Chicago.

ETBU Debate Wins Third Place at First Tournament of Season

MARSHALL, Texas (9/21/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Debate Team competed at the Lee College Kickoff Classic Debate Tournament in Baytown, Texas and came away with a third place finish. Over 75 competitors from 11 schools across a five-state region competed in the tournament September 18-20. Ten ETBU students entered the competition and as a squad, the team finished in third place, falling only behind Louisiana State University at Shreveport and the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

CHAMPIONS: ETBU Brings Back Two ITA Regional Championships

TENNIS (W): GEORGETOWN, Texas (9/20/15) - Establishing their program as now one of the best in the region the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team brought back hardware from the ITA Regional Championship Tournament. ETBU played in five different championships on Sunday winning two championships.

Kayla Casey won the Flight "A" singles championship to advance to the national tournament which is a first for the program. She also teamed up with Kate Bramlett to finish as the Flight "A" runners-up in doubles falling 7-5, 6-3, to Southwick/Lutz from Trinity University.
