MARSHALL, Texas (12/16/15) - East Texas Baptist University will hold Fall Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center on campus. Presiding will be ETBU President Dr. J. Blair Blackburn with 64 students receiving undergraduate degrees and 18 students receiving master's degrees for a total of 82.

ASC: RICHARDSON, Texas (12/15/15) - Guiding the East Texas Baptist University men's basketball team to two wins last week at home, Bret Atkins has been named the American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week. It is the first player of the week award this year for ETBU.

MARSHALL, Texas (12/14/15) - The Model United Nations team from East Texas Baptist University garnered the "Outstanding Delegation Award" at the American Model United Nations (AMUN) Conference held in Chicago, Nov. 21-24. The team was comprised of seven students who represented Cambodia in the General Assembly Plenary.

The ETBU delegation competed against 120 other schools, such as Kansas State University, Indiana University, University of Notre Dame, Baylor University, and University of Arizona.

BASKETBALL(W): MARSHALL, Texas (12/12/15) - Going on an 11-5 run over three minute time span in the fourth quarter after the game was tied at 51, the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball held on for their eighth win of the year, 68-60, over Rust College (1-8). ETBU was tied at 51 with 7:43 to go and with the run took a 62-56 lead as they improved to 6-0 at home and 8-2 overall.

MARSHALL, Texas (12/07/15) -  The East Texas Baptist University Debate Team competed at the Mississippi College Deep South Debate Tournament December 4-5 in Clinton, Miss. and one ETBU competitor came away as the Novice Division Champion.
