MARSHALL, Texas (12/07/15) -  The East Texas Baptist University Debate Team competed at the Mississippi College Deep South Debate Tournament December 4-5 in Clinton, Miss. and one ETBU competitor came away as the Novice Division Champion. 

MARSHALL, Texas (12/09/15) - The Department of Music at East Texas Baptist University presents "Christmas in Marshall: A Festival Concert" on Friday, December 11, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. The concert will be held in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center on Campus. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door; admission is free with ETBU ID.  

The Christmas celebration concert will include performances by the Concert Choir, Men's and Women's Choirs, Symphonic Band with the Guitar Ensemble, University Ringers and University Singers.  

ASC: RICHARDSON, Texas (12/7/15) - For the second time this year East Texas Baptist University women's basketball player April Leonard has been named the American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week. Leonard guided ETBU to a 2-0 week and a 1-0 start in the ASC.

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (12/5/15) - Some high school seniors from across the state and Louisiana got a taste of college life this week during East Texas Baptist University's Shadow Day.

Prospective college students and transfer students came to spend the night in a dorm with a host student and get a firsthand glimpse of what college is all about.

BASKETBALL (W): MARSHALL, Texas (12/5/15) - Will and determination became the difference in the game late in the fourth quarter as East Texas Baptist University held off Hardin-Simmons University, 78-77, in their first American Southwest Conference women's basketball game. HSU took the lead 58-57 with 6:32 left when ETBU answered on a 7-1 run in a minute and half and never lost the lead again. ETBU is now 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the ASC.
