East Texas Baptist University faculty, staff, and students gathered on the University grounds to plant trees and contribute to the beautification of campus on the official Texas State Arbor Day. While National Arbor Day occurs in late April, Texas Arbor Day occurs on the first Friday in November due to the cooler temperatures. In addition to improving the campus grounds, ETBU utilizes Arbor Day to provide a unique opportunity for students to get involved in the tree-planting process each year.

East Texas Baptist University’s Kinesiology Department hosted its annual Field Day for over 300 Pre-K students from Marshall Early Childhood Center (MECC) on Monday, October 31. ETBU Kinesiology students led the attendees in various physical activities, ranging from parachute play and tricycle riding to obstacle course running.

East Texas Baptist University hosted its eighth annual Calling Conference on Wednesday, October 26, for ETBU students called to vocational ministry. The conference provided students with a deeper understanding of identifying and pursuing their callings with opportunities to learn from experienced ministry professionals.

Alumni from East Texas Baptist University celebrated Homecoming 2022, Friday, October 21, through Saturday, October 22. This year's Homecoming festivities coincided with the University's 110th anniversary, marked by the annual Founders Day, which recognizes the institution's charter on October 22, 1912.

East Texas Baptist University’s Learning and Leading classes hosted Fall Festivals for all five of Marshall ISD’s elementary schools, including David Crockett Elementary, Sam Houston Elementary, William B. Travis Elementary, Price T. Young Elementary, and Marshall Early Childhood Center School on Monday, October 10 to serve nearly 1,000 elementary students and their families.
