FOOTBALL: MARSHALL, Texas (5/26/15) - East Texas has received an immeasurably amount of rain in May and that has caused cancellations to several East Texas Baptist University football fundraisers. The latest cancellation is the golf tournament scheduled for May 29th.
Due to the golf course being unplayable the golf tournament has been cancelled regrettably. Each team that has registered will be refunded unless you would like to make it a donation to ETBU Football. Any business that was a hole sponsor will now be mentioned in the game day program this fall at all five home football games.
"I want to thank everyone that was willing to support us in our golf outing this spring," says head coach Joshua Eargle. "It has been unfortunate weather for us as all of our fundraisers this spring have been cancelled due weather. There has been so much support for all the fundraisers and I appreciate everything that everyone has done for our program."
The football team relies on these fundraisers every spring and summer to help with team costs. This year with the fundraisers cancelled due to weather here are some other opportunities to donate to the team:
