"We are thrilled to witness such significant growth in our enrollment numbers for the Spring 2024 semester,” President J. Blair Blackburn said. “This record-breaking achievement is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff, and the vibrant community here at ETBU. We remain committed to providing a transformative Christ-centered educational experience for all Tiger students."

Returning student retention, excluding dual enrollment, has reached an impressive 91%, a notable increase from the previous year's retention rate of 90%. This sets a new record for Fall-to-Spring term retention.

“Retention is the work of the entire campus community from landscaping, student life events, and relationships with coaches, “Provost and Vice President for Academics Thomas Sanders said. “I am especially appreciative of the changes our faculty have made in their instruction and approaches to this generation of students. This milestone is testimony to the diligent work of many, including our students.”

Through the dedicated work of many faculty and staff, freshman cohort retention reached 91%, a 4% rise over the previous year and the highest since Fall 2003. Similarly, transfer cohort retention has experienced growth, reaching 87%, a 2% increase from Spring 2023.

In the realm of adult education, Spring 2024 has seen a significant increase in adult students, providing affordable and accessible pathways to college degree completion.

The Spring 2024 semester is in full swing, with students, faculty, and staff looking forward to exciting activities and traditions like ETBU’s Spiritual Renewal, Black History Month Celebration, Connexus, spring Tiger Athletics, and the ETBU School of Communication and Performing Arts’ production of Jane Eyre.

"ETBU stands out as a nurturing environment as we challenge students in mind, body, and spirit to develop as Christian servant leaders,” ETBU Vice President for Enrollment Jeremy Johnston said. “Rooted in a vibrant student life, ETBU is more than an educational institution; it's a home for students seeking a Christ-centered education. Our mission revolves around preparing graduates to lead with service and faith, making ETBU a distinctive and welcoming community for those on a journey of Christian learning."
