MARSHALL, Texas - Heading into her final year as an East Texas Baptist University softball player, senior Lacey Lindsey has been tabbed a preseason All-American by Fast Pitch News. Lindsey is on the honorable mention team heading into the 2017 season.
Lindsey is a three-time NFCA All-American and was also the 2015 ASC co-Player of the Year. She has 45 career home runs which is an ETBU and American Southwest Conference record. She also broke the ETBU career record for RBI last year and now has 163 overall. The three-time All-ASC first-team selection has played in three NCAA Tournaments winning the 2014 Super Regional and advancing to the World Series. She has also won an American Southwest Conference tournament championship in 2016. Individually, she owns the single season record for home runs (16) and RBI (59).
ETBU has won 115 games in three years with a program best 45 games in 2014. She was a major part of winning the NCAA Super Regional with a walk-off three-run home run to win the third game of the series over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
ETBU opens their season on Saturday, February 4th, against Pacific University at home on Taylor Field.
