Third Year-in-a-Row as NFCA All-Americans

NFCA: LOUISVILLE, Ky. (5/25/16) – Their names have become synonymous with the NFCA earning awards and for the third year in a row Lacey Lindsey and Jayme Perez are on the All-American team. Both players have been voted onto the third-team for the third straight year.

Lindsey is an at-large selection and was also on the NFCA West All-Region first-team for the third year. She led ETBU in batting average (.400), home runs (13) and RBI (49). She was also on the NCAA Tournament All-Tyler Regional Team and on the All-ASC first-team for a third year in a row. In the ASC, she is first in RBI and home runs and third in total bases (101).

For the third year in a row Perez is a third-team selection as a designated player. She finished the year with a .381 batting average, nine home runs, 48 RBI, and 10 doubles. In the ASC, she was third in RBI, fourth in home runs, and fifth in total bases (87). She was also voted All-ASC first team for the third year in a row.

This is only the second time in program history that ETBU has had a three-time All-American.

ETBU finished the season with 35 wins and were the ASC Tournament champions.
