MARSHALL, Texas (9/30/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Kinesiology Professional Club is hosting "ETBU Night at Chipotle" on Saturday, October 3, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  Chipotle, located at 415 E. Loop 281 in Longview, will donate a percentage of sales during the event that will fund opportunities for Kinesiology students.

The Kinesiology Professional Club exists to promote professional development and career preparation for students going into kinesiology related fields of employment. Sponsors of the club are Dr. Laci McRee, assistant professor of Kinesiology and Dr. Will Walker, associate professor of Kinesiology.

"In the classroom, I teach students how to raise funds for school sponsored organizations. This opportunity provides a real-life event that students can be a part of and learn from the process of planning the event," said Dr. McRee.

The club has joined forces with ETBU Student Affairs and Tiger Volleyball to promote the event.  ETBU Director of Student Affairs, Madison Kauffman, is encouraging students, faculty and staff to attend the ETBU volleyball matches versus LeTourneau and Centenary on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The two matches will be played at Solheim Arena on the campus of LETU in Longview.

After the matches, ETBU head volleyball coach Lyndsay Mashe will bring her team to "ETBU Night at Chipotle" to join the fans gathered for the club fund raiser. Kauffman, Mashe, Dr. McRee, and Dr. Walker who are collaborating with club members in the planning of the event, are all graduates of ETBU.

Dr. McRee said, "As a co-sponsor, I find it pure joy for the Kinesiology Professional Club to partner with Student Affairs and ETBU Volleyball. As an alumni, it is an honor to serve students outside of the classroom."
