ETBU Begins Fall Semester on Monday, August 24, 2015

MARSHALL, Texas (7/28/15) - East Texas Baptist University begins classes for the Fall semester on Monday, August 24, 2015. 

ETBU will welcome first-time freshman and transfer students on Thursday, August 20, 2015, as they check-in to residence halls from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The faculty and staff will be present to greet the new students and serve them by helping them move in to the residence halls. Incoming freshmen who registered to attend Tiger Camp will arrive on campus a few days earlier. 

Residence halls open for returning students on Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. 

Football, soccer and volleyball athletes arrive earlier on campus in order to begin preparation for their upcoming respective seasons.  Members of the Tiger Band and Cheer Squad arrive early as well to practice for upcoming performances during the fall semester.

ETBU will hold "Welcome Week" for first-time freshmen and transfer students August 20-23, 2015. "Welcome Week" provides a time to help new students make the transition to university life as well as become familiar with the academic, spiritual, and social purposes of the University. "Welcome Week" will also help the new residents of Marshall to develop relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the local community. This time will help the students get acquainted with the University's facilities, resources, and services. 

The new students will participate in "ETBU Cares" service projects in the community on Saturday, August 22, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
