MARSHALL, Texas (6/01/15) - As part of the East Texas Baptist University Senior Adult Conference (June 3-5) the East Texas community has the opportunity to attend two separate concerts without attending a full day schedule of the conference. Southern Gospel group The Hoppers will be in concert on Wednesday, June 3 at 1:00 p.m. Grammy and Dove Award winner Cynthia Clawson will perform on Friday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m.
The Hoppers, known as "America's Favorite Family of Gospel Music" performed at the Religious Inaugural Celebration for President Ronald Reagan in 1981. With over three decades of ministry they have become favorites on the Gaither Homecoming Series.
Clawson, known as the "singer's singer" and called "the most awesome voice in gospel music" by Billboard Magazine is a songwriter, vocal artist and musician with her career spanning over four decades.
Tickets for The Hoppers are $20.00 and Cynthia Clawson are $15.00. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 903.923.2068 or at the door. Both concerts will be held in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center on the ETBU campus.
