ETBU Softball to Compete for National Title at Jason Bell Park

The East Texas Baptist University Softball team punched its ticket to the 2024 NCAA Division III Softball National Championship with the NCAA Marshall Super Regional victory last week. The team will compete for the national title on the Tigers' home field as ETBU is hosting the National Championship in Marshall, May 30 - June 5, at Jason Bell Park at Taylor Field.
The ETBU Tiger Softball team secured the Super Regional Championship on Friday afternoon with a thrilling, 10-9, victory over Williams College, earning their spot in the softball national tournament. The Tigers boast an impressive 43-2 record this season. They claimed the regular season American Southwest Conference Championship, and have been flawless throughout the postseason capturing the ASC Tournament Championship, NCAA Marshall Regional Championship, and NCAA Marshall Super Regional Championship.
"We are incredibly proud of ETBU Tiger Softball for making it to the NCAA Division III Softball National Championship,” ETBU Vice President for Athletics Ryan Erwin said.  “It's an honor to see our team represent the University with such excellence and dedication, and we are thrilled to cheer them on at Jason Bell Park at Taylor Field, right here on ETBU’s campus!"
ETBU enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed and will open play on Thursday, May 30 at 4 p.m. against No. 7 seed Rowan University. ETBU's Office of Advancement will host a Tiger Tailgate one hour prior to each ETBU game throughout the tournament. ETBU Alumni and friends can stop by the tailgate, located adjacent to the ETBU Veterans' Memorial Tennis Complex, for snacks and giveaways before cheering the Tigers on to victory.
The NCAA Division III Softball National Championship presents an exciting opportunity for fans of all ages to watch the nation's top collegiate softball student-athletes in action. The event offers a family-friendly atmosphere, complete with a dedicated fan zone for everyone to enjoy throughout the week.
