The Marshall Fire Department recently visited East Texas Baptist University's new University Park Row House development for a fire safety operational evaluation.
MFD firemen from Fire Stations Nos. 1 and 2, under the leadership of Battalion Chief David Dean toured the new student residential development under construction.
"We are grateful to our firemen and emergency medical services personnel for their sacrificial service to our Marshall community," ETBU President Blair Blackburn said. "The firemen wanted to have a good understanding of the residential site, building layouts, fire lane access, sprinkler system, visual/audible/ smoke alarm notification devices, and fire riser equipment in order to be knowledgeable and better prepared when arriving on site for fire and medical response."
