What is it like to walk where Jesus walked? ETBU plans a trip to the Holy Land, May 19-30, 2016

February 26, 2016

MARSHALL, Texas (2/26/16) – Have you ever thought about “what is it like to walk where Jesus walked?”  The East Texas Baptist University School of Humanities is providing this “once in a life time opportunity” for the Marshall community to travel to Israel this May and experience the wonders of the Holy Land in person. The Holy Land trip is scheduled for May 19-30.

“Once you are in the Holy Land, you will be transported across thousands of years, feel the Bible, and your faith comes alive as never before,” said ETBU Professor of Political Science Dr. Israel Nandamudi. “So, please don’t miss this great opportunity.”

For the past three years, Dr. Nandamudi has taken a group of ETBU students and Marshall Community members on this very same trip. ETBU President Dr. Blair Blackburn will be on the trip as well.

“ETBU is offering this Holy Land opportunity to others as part of its mission to serve the community,” Dr. Nandamudi added. “We are leaving for Tel Aviv from Houston on May 19th.”

While in Israel, the group will visit the Holocaust museum in Jerusalem, travel to Mount Carmel, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Masada, Caesarea Philippi, the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, Mount of Beatitudes, and such other Biblically significant places.

The trip costs around $3,500, which includes airfare, transportation within Israel, lodging, boarding, and required fees at the Holy sites. The deadline to make your reservation traveling to Israel with ETBU is March 4.
