FOOTBALL: RICHARDSON, Texas (9/22/15) - Receiving yet another award for his kicking game Ryan Travis was named to the D3football.com "team of the week" as the punter. This is the second award this week as he was the American Southwest Conference special teams player of the week, too.
Travis had a phenomenal night kicking scoring 10 overall points and pinning Southwestern at their end of the field several times. He had seven punts for 293 yards putting the ball inside the 20-yard line three times. He also have nine kickoffs with an average starting point of the catch at the 10-yard line. He nailed two field goals from 38 yards and 27 yards. His 38-yard field goal gave ETBU a nine-point lead, 39-31 with 11:17 left in the game.
ETBU is now 2-1 on the year and opens American Southwest Conference play on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at home vs. Louisiana College.
