ETBU's Conner Combs MVP of NYCBL All-Star Game

ONEONTA, New York (7/17/15) - Summer college baseball only keeps getting better for Conner Combs as he represents East Texas Baptist University in New York. On Thursday night, July 16, he was named the New York Collegiate Baseball League All-Star MVP.

Playing for the Western Division and representing the Niagara Power, Combs went 2-of-2 at the plate with a double and a triple for two RBI and a run scored. He also fielded six grounders cleanly with no errors in his time on the field.

Combs had a two-run triple in the eighth inning that gave the Western team a 6-0 lead. His team ended with the win, 8-6. He says, "I am just thankful for the grace of God that I have been able to come out here with these guys and compete. It was a blast (via www.nycbl.com)."

A member of the Niagara Power, Combs is batting .258 on the season with 32 hits, nine doubles, one triple, and 10 RBI. Niagara is in third place just 5.5 games out of first.

Combs will be a junior at ETBU this year and is from Southlake, Texas.
