ETBU students receive awards for academic excellence

East Texas Baptist University recognized the academic achievements of outstanding Tiger students at the annual Honors Chapel awards ceremony on April 26. Students who were inducted into various honor societies, as well as those who received Academic Excellence Awards, were applauded for their accomplishments. Academic Excellence Awards are given to students from different academic departments who are recognized by their respective faculty for their Christian character, scholarly accomplishments, servant leadership, and active involvement in ETBU campus life. The 2023 recipients include:

“Embracing faith, engaging minds, empowering leaders, and enhancing community—these are our core commitments at ETBU,” Assistant Provost for Academic Affairs Elizabeth Ponder shared. “The honors these students have received today serve as a reminder and challenge to all of us at the end of the semester to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, with all our minds, and with all our strength. May He grant you perseverance to finish this semester well, to the glory of God.”
