Two Programs Recognized Nationally

Two athletic programs at ETBU, women’s basketball and softball, have been recognized on the national scene.

The NCAA has recognized the 2012-2013 Lady Tigers basketball team as the 8th most improved program in Division III.  The Lady Tigers are coached by Dustin Howard, who enters his second season at the helm.   ETBU finished 16-10 last year and made the American Southwest Conference championship tournament for the first time in three years.

Lady Tiger softball is not only known for its excellent play on the diamond but also in the class room. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has released its top academic teams from the 2013 season. The 2013 American Southwest Conference champions, under head coach Janae Shirley, has earned a top 25 ranking in academics.

ETBU competes in NCAA Division III athletics with a number of sports: football, volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, softball, and baseball.
