CAMPUS VEHICLE POLICY

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the following policies regarding the use of wheeled vehicles on the East Texas Baptist University campus:

PROHIBITED USES:

• I may not use scooters inside campus buildings.
• I may not use scooters on sidewalks or grass.
• I may not use my scooter inside residence halls, even though I may store them there.

PARKING REQUIREMENTS:

• I must park my vehicle in designated bike racks or outside of buildings, away from entrances.
• I may not park on grass.
• I may not lock my scooter to buildings or trees.

SAFETY AND TRAFFIC RULES:

• I must give the right of way to pedestrians at all times.
• I must obey all traffic laws and signs on campus.

LIABILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

• I understand that the University assumes no liability for injury to me while I engage in these activities.
• I understand that I will be held accountable for any damage to University property that results from my use of these vehicles.

VIOLATION CONSEQUENCES:

• First violation: Warning
• Second violation: $50.00 fine and/or suspension of scooter privileges for the remainder of the semester
• Third violation: Suspension of scooter privileges for the remainder of the academic year and/or permanently
