COVID-19 FAQs for Sisk Health Services Clinic

I have submitted a COVID-19 reporting form and I haven’t received a call from the health clinic.

  • Once you submit a form, the health clinic will contact you within 24 hours. During this time, you need to self-isolate, wear your mask, zoom your classes, and forward the zoom medical clearance email you received after completing your COVID-19 reporting form to your professors.

My professor says I don’t have medical clearance to Zoom – What do I do?

  •  When you completed your COVID-19 reporting form, the health clinic sent you a medical clearance email that you need to forward to your professors. Please check your inbox for the email and make sure your professors receive it.

Where is the health clinic located?

  • We are located behind the bookstore on the corner of Wright and Tiger Drive. The entrance to the clinic is facing Tiger Drive.

How many days must I quarantine if I have been exposed to a COVID-19 positive person?

  • If you have been exposed to a COVID-19 positive person, you will need to quarantine for a minimum of 7-10 days from the last day you were around this person. If you do not have symptoms, then you can get a COVID test on day 7 of your quarantine. If your COVID test result is negative and you do not have symptoms then you can be released from quarantine. If you do not get a COVID test on day 7, then you will quarantine for 10 days. If at any time during your quarantine you develop symptoms, please report promptly to the health clinic.

To be released from quarantine, you must receive official medical clearance from the Sisk Health Services Clinic.

How many days must I quarantine if I am positive for COVID-19?

  • If you test positive for COVID-19, you will need to quarantine for a minimum of 10 days. To be released from quarantine, you must receive official medical clearance from the Sisk Health Services Clinic and meet the following criteria: 1. You must complete at least 10 days of quarantine; 2. You are fever free for 48 hours without using fever reducing medications; 3. Your symptoms have improved.

Where do I send my COVID test results if I receive a test at another facility?

I tested positive for COVID-19. Do I need to have another COVID test before returning to school with a negative test result?

  • The Sisk Health Services Clinic does not require you to have a negative test result before returning to school. To be released from quarantine, you must receive official medical clearance from the Sisk Health Services Clinic and meet the following criteria:

1. You must complete at least 10 days of quarantine;
2. You are fever free for 48 hours without using fever reducing medications;
3. Your symptoms have improved.

Am I allowed to leave my room?

  • You may leave your room for necessities only. Necessities include: going to the doctor or health clinic, picking up prescriptions, medications, or food. You should utilize drive-thru and grocery pick-up. Marshall also offers Door Dash from a variety of restaurants and pharmacies that can be delivered to your Residence Hall. You are not permitted to linger in the hallways, lobbies, or utilize any of our other campus amenities including the Student Center, Chick-fil-a, The Republic, HealthPlex, outdoor recreational facilities, gym, or library.

How do I sign up to get meals delivered?

  •  If you have an ETBU meal plan and would like lunch and/or dinner delivered to you, then you need to sign up for Remind. To enroll, you can text @mealre to 81010. You will receive a text message with a link to the meal request form each evening with the lunch and dinner options for the next day. You will need to complete the form by 9AM the day of to receive meals for that day. If you need help enrolling or missed the deadline, you may text the RD on call number at 903.200.1159.
