Steve Braun serves as an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at the Frank S. Groner School of Professional Studies.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Rogers State University and an M.Ed. in Higher Education - Sport Administration from East Central University.
He most recently served ETBU as a Development Officer in the Office of Advancement.
He previously served as Executive Director of Communications & Marketing at Muskogee Public Schools in Oklahoma assisting the district through a rebrand and $110 million bond issue campaign.
Braun worked at Rogers State University (Okla.) in numerous roles, including Sports Information Director, Assistant Athletic Director for Operations, and Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. In those roles, he oversaw media relations, radio and television broadcasts, video streaming, social media, facilities, travel scheduling, game day productions, corporate sponsorships, ticket operations, and assisted in compliance operations.
He was co-host of The Daily Dos on KTBZ-AM in Tulsa, Okla., in addition to serving as Sports Director for the Buzz Sports Network, which included KAKC-AM. He was Editor of VYPE Magazine in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, leading production of the monthly high school sports magazine.
Braun has experience in play-by-play of high school, college, and professional sports, including basketball, football, soccer, baseball, and softball.
