Ms. Shannon Cash is a Family Nurse Practitioner who serves as Director of the Sisk Health Services Clinic and Assistant Professor of Nursing at East Texas Baptist University. She has more than 15 years of nursing experience in various areas of healthcare and has mentored nursing students as a preceptor. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler and a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Stephen F. Austin University. Shannon is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, is a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioner and American Association of Nurse Practitioners organizations and has received two Daisy Award nominations which recognizes extraordinary nurses. Throughout her nursing career, she believed an effective nurse is caring, understanding, and nonjudgmental and has a strong ability to empathize with patients from all walks of life. She has a passion for patient education and developing and encouraging nursing students. She is honored to be a part of the ETBU family, and she is dedicated to providing Christ centered health care to the students, staff, and faculty on campus.
