Meet Judith Shelton

"Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:28-29

Judith Shelton is the Assistant Professor of Music and Vocal Coordinator at ETBU. She earned her Master of Music Performance from Bob Jones University and is a Doctoral Candidate completing a DMA in Vocal Performance at the University of Memphis. Mrs. Shelton has performed internationally on concert tours for missions across Europe and Japan, has had roles in many musicals and operas, performed on international TV, and composed music for national stages. In the summer of 2023, she was invited to Bavaria as a teaching fellow to partake in the International Performing Arts Institute, where she honed her craft as a vocal pedagogue and studied with Kristin Chavez (the foremost interpreter of Carmen in the United States). While overseas, Mrs. Shelton made her German solo debut with the Musiktheaterkonzert and Liederabend and also directed scenes for the Musikalspektakular. In the Fall of 2023, Mrs. Shelton sang the world premiere of a song cycle entitled Living to God: Reflections on Life in Christ. She desires to see students become excellent performers, who desire to reach others with the Gospel through music and stagecraft.
