Hillary Wisk has been a nurse since 2008 and is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. Mrs. Wisk teaches Maternal Child Nursing and Community Health Nursing, as well as serving as a clinical instructor for Maternal Child Nursing and Fundamentals of Nursing. Prior to joining the faculty at ETBU, Mrs. Wisk worked as a charge nurse on the Intermediate Care Floor at Christus Good Shephard Medical Center in Marshall, Texas. Mrs. Wisk has also held charge and/or staff nurse positions at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana and Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Wisk earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Texas Baptist University, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Texas at Arlington, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Nursing Leadership from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Her research interests include emotional intelligence and clinical decision-making skills in new graduate nursing. Mrs. Wisk is a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society, as well as Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for nursing. Mrs. Wisk feels it is an honor to return to her alma mater and lead the next generations of Christian nurses to exemplify Christ while caring for others and fulfilling their calling.
