ETBU runs for Boston
A week after the bombings at the Boston Marathon, East Texas Baptist University honored the fallen victims with a “Run for Boston.” Natalie Bach-Prather, the ETBU head cross country coach, put the event together to remember that day in Boston. Bach Prather finished the race in 3:29.44, and she left the bombing scene minutes before the explosions.
“Today we ran four loops in honor of each victim and had great support from the students and ETBU faculty and staff. Each lap is in memory and honor of the people that lost their lives last week in Boston,” Bach-Prather said. “We had several professors come out, and our President Dr. Oliver and his wife participated, too.”
More than 40 people participated in the run.
