| Entering Freshmen
Students who wish to enter as freshmen are selected from applicants who have graduated from an accredited high school and must meet one of the following admissions standards:
Either a composite score of 18 or higher on the ACT (excluding Writing)
or
A Math/Verbal composite score of 860 or higher on the SAT
or
Graduate in the upper 40% of graduating class.
{Note: Students who are accepted based on class rank must still provide official ACT or SAT
(Math/Verbal Composite) scores.}
Graduates from non-accredited institutions or home-schools must have a composite ACT of 18 or a Math/Verbal composite SAT score of 860 for acceptance to the University.
Non-graduates of high school may submit a General Education Diploma (GED) certificate. These prospective students must also have a composite ACT of 18 or a Math/Verbal composite SAT score of 860 for acceptance to the University.
Transfer Students
Transfer students who have earned at least 24 hours of transferable credit from other institutions do not need to meet Freshman admission standards. Freshman-Transfers must also meet the above mentioned Freshman admission standards. All transfers students must submit all official transcripts from all colleges attended.
Non-Degree Students
Non-degree seeking students may be admitted if they are in transit from another post-secondary institution within the current academic year or the one preceding the current year. Enrollment is limited to 7 credit hours in any one term. A non-degree seeking application is required and a letter of good standing from the last college attended may be substituted for official transcripts. Those spending consecutive semesters, other than the summer terms in transit are required to follow regular procedures for admission. Graduates of accredited four year institutions may be admitted as non-degree seeking students for up to the maximum hours allowable per term. Students wishing to apply course work toward a degree must be formally admitted to the University.
