The School of Education at East Texas Baptist University is comprised of the departments of Teacher Education and Kinesiology and Exercise Science, as well as the Athletic Training Education Program. The faculty and staff of the departments strive to provide programs that are both challenging and appropriate for the students served.

ETBU's Teacher Education program provides a comprehensive background of professional education courses designed to prepare future elementary, secondary and all-level teachers to perform effectively in the classrooms of our state and nation's public and private schools.

The Kinesiology and Exercise Science department embraces the philosophy that physical education is an educational process that has as its aim the improvement of human performance and the enhancement of human development.

The Athletic Training Education Program is dedicated to providing a comprehensive education program for those students interested in a career in athletic training. This program includes formal courses instructing the required competencies and proficiencies as well as supervised clinical experiences with the university's intercollegiate athletics program and with other allied health care professionals off campus.
