East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) is a liberal arts university with approximately 1300 students from across the globe. Nestled in the deep East Texas pines, ETBU Nursing is an innovative, growing program that just celebrated its 20th anniversary. We are on the cutting edge of implementing evidence-based practice in our content across the curriculum as well as our instruction methods. We are pleased to invite applications for a full-time assistant professor position to begin in August 2013. Contributions from this faculty member will include, but are not limited to, curriculum innovation, development and evaluation, student advising and mentorship, professional scholarship, program innovation, improvement and evaluation, and building vibrant clinical partnerships. |

The qualified individual who would be a best match for this role must be RN licensed or license-eligible in the state of Texas, have graduated with a master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program, and either enrolled in a doctoral program or willing to enroll and complete a doctorate within 5 years. Three years teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to academic and clinical excellence, clinical experience as a practicing registered nurse, the ability to communicate well with students and colleagues, an appreciation for Christian higher education, and a personal Christian faith. The ideal candidate will have a strong practice foundation in pediatric and maternal-child nursing and/or medical-surgical nursing. ETBU faculty members are expected to participate in the life of the University via faculty meetings/workshops and by participating in/attending student activities and events. |
