ETBU Students Enjoy Eye Opening Trip To Ethiopia
This article includes a photograph MARSHALL, Texas (1/31/12)- “Eye opening,” is the sentiment of 12 East Texas Baptist University students who experienced a 10-day mission trip to Ethiopia during the Christmas break. The long journey from campus to Bona, a small village in southern Ethiopia, was the first ETBU student trip to the area. The final leg of the journey to arrive in Bona was a five hour bus trip, with the last four traveled on a very bumpy, dirt road. The whole ministry trip had over 90 hours of travel.
ETBU Basketball vs. Ozarks
CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (2/2/12) -- East Texas Baptist rallied from an 19-point deficit in the second half to force overtime, but Ozarks regained momentum in the extra time to post an 82-77 win over the Tigers in American Southwest Conference men's basketball action Thursday night.
ETBU’s Michael Miller a Contestant on American Idol

During the episode aired last Wednesday, January 25, senior biology major Michael Miller, was shown celebrating after receiving his golden ticket to Hollywood.
ETBU opens third master’s program
MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (1/31/11)-East Texas Baptist University will welcome its third master’s program in the fall of 2012 for those interested in furthering their education in counseling.
