Need help with your research paper?  Interested in help using a database?  Want to know which movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1939?  Just don't know where to start?  Then get ready for the best search engines available - the librarians at ETBU!

The Information Desk is staffed with either a librarian, trained support staff, or trained student assistants nearly every hour the library is open.  Even when someone is not at the desk a librarian is on call and ready to come and meet with you during the library hours Sunday - Friday.  On Saturdays the staff person on duty will assist you.

Research Appointments

Do you need extra help with your research or do you know that it will be more involved than normal?  Set up an appointment for your research with the librarian of your choice.  This intensive assistance can be done at a time that is best for YOU!  Come by in person to make the appointment, or call 2262 (2256 if no answer) or email libref@etbu.edu to request assistance.  A librarian will get back with you to set up the appointment.

Students Enrolled in an Honors Project

If you are a student who is preparing to research an Honors Project you can take advantage of having a personal library mentor to assist you with your research.  A librarian will be assigned (or you can ask one to be your mentor) to help you from the first through the fourth semesters of your project.  This librarian will become familiar with your topic and can assist you with both preliminary and advanced research needs.
