Admissions Requirements

Admission to East Texas Baptist University is granted to students who rank in the upper half of their graduating class or have either a composite ACT score of at least 18 or a combined score of at least 860 on the SAT or have at least 24 transferable credit hours.

ACT/SAT/TOEFL
Both the ACT and SAT tests cover basic material in English, Math, English Reading, and Science. The tests are conducted in English. Students whose native language is not English must also submit official TOEFL scores. Students must score 500 or better on the paper based, or 173 or better on the computer based TOEFL. Contact your nearest USA Embassy or Consulate for information on where and when you can take these tests.

Class Rank
We recognize that international schools do not typically rank students based upon their academic performance. If class rank is not available, a letter (written/translated in English) from a school official may be substituted. The letter must state that, if the school ranked its graduating students, you would be ranked in the upper 50% of your graduating class.
