Marketing

Marketing is everything and everything is marketing. While that may sound a bit arrogant, one must understand that this does not refer to the marketing discipline but rather the marketing concept. Translated, this means that in order to not only survive but to succeed, it is necessary to have a marketing mentality. That is what the ETBU marketing program seeks to develop in each student; a mindset that encourages business leaders to “discover and satisfy needs” of businesses and individual consumers.

All of the above is presented in the framework of what is called relationship marketing. This concept emphasizes taking time to know and understand the customer so that the needs are not only understood, but often anticipated before the customer expresses them. The result is a win-win relationship where all parties are successful in reaching their goals and success in business.

Internships provide opportunities to experience marketing in real-world situations and often to career employment. Professionals from the community are regularly invited to speak in class and interact with the students. Participation in the American Marketing Association (AMA) provides opportunities as well for students to practice their marketing knowledge and gain valuable experience.
