Gabi Henley ('19) is living out her calling as an educator and coach in her hometown school district of Crowley, Texas. For Gabi, highlights from her time on the Hill include serving as captain of the ETBU Tiger Soccer team, receiving academic All-American Southwest Conference honors, and the award of Miss Congeniality at the 2018 Miss ETBU Pageant. Fast forward to 2022, and Henley can now be found engaging her students daily in the classroom, and in the evening she can be found on the soccer fields pouring her expertise into the Crowley boys' soccer program.
“Overall, it's a busy schedule teaching English and coaching soccer, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I really love what I do. The experience of helping these children grow socially, emotionally, academically, and physically is very rewarding. I hope to have the same impact on my students as my teachers had on me,” Henley said.
