Academic scholarships at ETBU are based on a combination of ACT/SAT (excluding Writing) and recalculated high school GPA. This allows students to be awarded on a more complete picture of the student's ability. The amounts listed below are for new students beginning Fall 2015 and Spring 2016.

CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP - $1,000 - $4,000 annually
Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate leadership qualities in their church or Christian organizations on campus. Student provides information for this scholarship on the initial Application for Admission and Financial Aid. Updates may be submitted to the Admissions Counselor throughout the application process. Scholarship is renewable for four years if 2.0 GPA is maintained.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COOPERATIVE GRANT - ETBU will match home church's contribution up to $500 per academic year. Separate application required. Can be found here.
MINISTER'S DEPENDENT SCHOLARSHIP- ETBU awards dependents of full time Baptist ministerial staff or Baptist career missionaries $1500 per year. Can be found here.
MINISTRY SCHOLARSHIP ($60 per semester hour) -Initial applicants must be a member in good standing of a Baptist Church (regardless of denominational affiliation or geographical location). Can be found here.
Renewals must be signed by the pastor of a church cooperating with the Baptist General Convention of Texas
Provide local approval (certification), license or ordination papers from a Baptist church
Participate in Religion Seminar and complete Religion 2340 (Ministry Formations) before graduation
Be an ETBU student in good standing
Submit annual renewal application.

Rufus Spraberry Memorial Alumni Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded by the Alumni Association to children and grandchildren of former students. You may apply online here.
Hale-Moore Education Fund - You may apply online here.
MUSIC and THEATRE SCHOLARSHIPS - Are available by demonstrating an exceptional level of performance during an on-campus audition. Dates for auditions may be obtained through the Music and Theatre Departments.
All ETBU awards are renewable for four years as long as minimum renewal requirements are met.
All scholarship funds are limited and based on a first-come/first-serve basis.
Students must be accepted to the University before ETBU scholarships can be awarded.
ETBU scholarships are limited to the cost of tuition only.
All ETBU scholarships require students to live in on-campus housing (unless permanent residence is within commuting distance) and maintain full-time status.
All financial aid awards are subject to readjustment after a SAR is received and student's financial need is determined.
Students who have earned a bachelor's degree are not eligible for ETBU scholarships.
