The OIRE is the University's office of institutional research and effectiveness. Its functions are university-wide in nature.

The OIRE is responsible for coordinating and conducting institutional research studies, both externally and internally requested, and coordinating, preparing, and submitting externally requested surveys and reports. The OIRE compiles and submits the information and data for numerous external agencies and organizations that annually request completion of surveys and questionnaires.

The OIRE also maintains the University Master Plan and the Institutional Effectiveness Plan and coordinates the annual revision and evaluation of the plans and the planning process.


The OIRE also serves as the liaison with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and monitors all aspects of the accreditation requirements of the SACSCOC.
