The people who benefit from your giving want to say "thank you."

Thank you so much for this scholarship!  My name is Sarah and I am a Junior English major at ETBU; however, I am currently studying abroad at Oxford University in England through an exchange program.  This scholarship has greatly assisted in making this experience possible and I'm so thankful to be able to represent East Texas Baptist University among these hallowed halls her in the United Kingdom.  This program is designed to prepare students extensively for graduate school, which I plan to attend after my years at ETBU and pursue a Master of Arts degree in English.

Thank you so much again for your support!

Thank you so much for the generous and most appreciated scholarship.  The opportunity to attend East Texas Baptist University is a very surreal experience for many reasons.  I am fifty years of age, the first of my parents' children to attend college, and also the associate pastor/minister of music at a small church in Karnack, Texas.  I chose religion as my major to better equip myself in order to better equip our congregation in their spiritual walk.  After earning my Bachelor's degree I will continue my preparation by pursuing a Master's degree in religion at ETBU.  After being better equipped, my prayer is that God will allow me to serve as pastor of a church.  I strive to be a better Christian, husband, dad, and an example of Christ to all who come in contact with me.  My words will never be adequate to express my gratitude for receiving this scholarship.

I want to sincerely thank you for the gracious financial support.  With this support, I am able to attend East Texas Baptist University. Your scholarship is having a positive impact on my life, and I'm sure the same is true for the other scholarship recipients.  I come from a family of six and I am the oldest of the children.  I have been homeschooled my entire life.  my mother was a chemistry and biology major in college and my dad was an animal science major.  I grew up on a dairy and then a beef cattle operation, so I have always loved science and animals.  And now I plan to graduate from ETBU with a biology/chemistry major and then go to veterinary school.  My goal is to be a large animal vet and have a traveling veterinary service in East Texas.  My goals for this year is to continue taking 22 hours each semester, and to continually improve my study skills.

Again, I want to express my deep gratitude for your support as without it, I would not be able to attend East Texas Baptist University.  Thank you for giving back to the next generation. You are giving us the opportunity to attend a great school with a Christian perspective to assist us in reaching our goals in college and in life.
