East Texas Baptist University is committed to creating a safe and healthy campus community. Recognizing that this initiative requires students, faculty, and staff working together to achieve a common goal, Student Affairs has formed a campus coalition of partners aspiring to foster a Community of Care Network for all members of the University community. Through this collaboration, we aim to build and sustain a culture of care in which students live, learn, lead, and succeed at ETBU and beyond.
CCN serves as a central point for coordinating resources to support student wellness initiatives and crisis intervention. If a member of the coalition becomes aware of a potential incident of campus violence involving self-harm, sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, relationship violence , or other violence, it is imperative to promptly report it to the Dean of Students. The Student Affairs staff will provide support, advocacy, assistance, and connection to resources, while taking every precaution to ensure that privacy considerations are respected.
Student Affairs is committed to helping students take full advantage of a variety of programs and services that foster community, engagement and learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. Our goal is to create safe educational environments and collaborative partnerships that help students live, learn, lead, and succeed at ETBU and beyond. Students with an immediate crisis should contact the Dean of Students at (903) 923-2320 or call 911 for medical or life threatening emergencies.
