The Adult Education Program at East Texas Baptist University is designed for non-traditional students who wish to finish their undergraduate degree in a Christ-centered environment with academic integrity.
Our program recognizes that adults will need to balance their educational goals with family, work, and other life events. Students enrolled in the Adult Education program can earn a Bachelor of Applied Science degree that will provide opportunities for online or on-campus learning.
Students may also earn course credit through the development of a portfolio based on learning in prior work experience. These options will help adult students finish a degree in a shorter time frame than most traditional programs.
- Complete 34 General Education hours
- Complete 39 Advanced Hours, 33 of which must be earned at ETBU
- Complete hours in your major, electives and portfolio credit to obtain 120 required hours for your degree
Students enrolled in the Adult Education Program may receive a Life-long Learning Grant equal to 1/3 the amount of tuition. Students must be full-time to receive this grant and are not eligible for other ETBU scholarships but may receive Federal and State aid.
