Sharp Voted ASC Preseason Volleyball Defensive Player of Year
Congratulations to sophomore Kolby Sharp from Pearland being named the American Southwest Conference Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
Sharp was voted the ASC’s preseason “Defensive Player of the Year” by the coaches and sports information directors. She led the ASC in hitting percentage last year, was the “Freshman of the Year” and was voted onto the all-ASC first-team. She finished with 103 overall blocks and 290 kills.
“Kolby had a solid freshman year and she does a great job for us. I expect big things for her this year,” says head volleyball coach Lyndsey Mashe.
First match of the season is on August 30th at the Mary Hardin-Baylor tournament in Belton. For additional Tiger Volleyball news click here.
