Mary Slaughter added more awards to her career this week earning two player-of-the-week awards for her play against Howard Payne University. Slaughter has been named the American Southwest Conference East Player of the Week and to the Team of the Week.

Slaughter scored a career-high 37 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for her 24th career double-double in a tough ASC loss to Howard Payne. Her 37 points tops her previous career high of 24 points set in 2005 against Sul Ross State. The 18 rebounds ties her career high also set in 2005 against Howard Payne.  She also had four blocks and four steals in 39 minutes.
