"According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Philippians 1:20-21
Lee Ferguson has more than 25 years' experience in higher education, working in the broad areas of enrollment, financial aid, endowment operations, and now as Vice President for Financial Affairs at East Texas Baptist University. Before joining the ETBU staff, Lee served at Dallas Baptist University for seven years as Assistant Vice President for Financial Aid, and for eight years at Baptist Foundation of Texas (now HighGround Advisors) as Manager of Operations. Lee also has broad experience in banking operations, commercial lending, and other areas of university and financial management. Lee earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University, and an MBA from Dallas Baptist University. Lee and his wife Jamye have three adult children, two dogs, four grand-dogs, and have recently settled into a new home in Marshall. After working outside the university setting for several years, Lee decided in 2010 that he wanted to return to a college campus because of his firm belief in the strong influence that Christian higher education can have in students' lives, and the strong community that a Christian college provides. He is thrilled to be part of the ETBU Family and the powerful outreach that ETBU has in Marshall and greater East Texas.
