Two faculty members earn Ph.D.s

Dr. Laci McRee was one of two faculty members to earn a doctorate this past academic year.

Dr. Laci McRee was one of two faculty members to earn a doctorate this past academic year.

Two ETBU faculty members, Robin McLaran and Laci McRee, have earned their doctorates during the past academic year. They also both are alumnae of ETBU.

Dr. McClaran earned her Ph.D. in Education Sciences with an emphasis in Mathematics Education in May from the University of Kentucky. Dr. McClaran taught at Marshall High School for 27 years before joining the mathematics faculty at ETBU this past fall.

Dr. McClaran graduated from ETBU in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Education-Secondary Mathematics and her master’s degree is from the University of Texas-Tyler.

Dr. McRee received her doctorate from Texas Woman’s University in Kinesiology with emphases in sport management and business administration.

After earning her master’s degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sports Psychology from the University of North Texas, Dr. McRee came back to her alma mater as an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and Exercise Science in the fall of 2011.
